Mechanical Engineering Lead · On sabbatical until early 2027
Mechanical design for consumer electronics – from first sketch to a product on a shelf, and everything about seals, hinges, and tolerances in between.
I’m a creative mechanical engineer originally from Boston, MA and living in sunny San Diego, California. I’m currently on a work sabbatical in Europe, returning in early 2027. I’ve previously spent time at Alarm.com as a Senior ME manager / ME Lead, at Google / Nest as a Senior Product Design Engineer, at Goddard Product Development as a Senior Mechanical Designer, and Jawbone as a Product Design Engineer. My 13 years of work experience has given me a deep understanding of mechanical design for consumer electronics as well as insights on team and operational dynamics at multiple organizations of varying sizes. As I’ve gained experience I’ve been able to take a larger part in team management, program planning, and budgeting, while still keeping my individual contributor skills sharp for technical challenges that arise.
